Lisa Pounds serves as Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Green Plate Foods. Ms. Pounds founded GPF in January 2010 and has acted as CEO since inception. Lisa is a mom who is passionate about great tasting nutritious food. GPF was born from the idea that there must be other busy parents and businesses who don’t have the time to prepare nutritious and delicious ready to bake or serve snacks, treats and meals. Privately held Houston Company, Green Plate Foods manufactures and sells snacks, treats and meals that are made with the highest quality ingredients and offer great nutrition while maintaining delicious taste. Targeted to healthcare systems, universities, grocery stores, and luxury resorts, GPF products are clean, tasty and affordable and created under the guidance of a registered dietitian and a team of trained chefs. GPF offers foods that also benefit lower sugar, gluten-free, dairy free and vegetarian diets. GPF products can be found at Texas Children’s Hospital, Memorial Hermann – TMC, Whole Foods, HEB, Freshii and My Fit Foods locations. Prior to Green Plate Foods, Lisa was in the insurance brokerage and risk management consulting business focused on healthcare and pharmaceutical industries for 13 years in New York and Houston. Ms. Pounds was responsible for sales, marketing, client management and held several management positions. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Speech Communication degree. Lisa was nominated in 2012 as a Top 25 National Foodie Mom for her blog, “Lisa’s Green Plate Blog” http://lisapounds.blogspot.com/. She was honored by the Texas Governor in the 2013 Texas State of the State Address honoring Green Plate as a growing and successful new business in Houston. Lisa was also honored in 2014 by the Houston Business Journal as a Top 40 under 40 award recipient. Lisa is a member of the River Oaks Women’s Breakfast Club, member and past board member of the Bellaire Young Mom’s Club, a member of Houston Culinary Guild and is a regular speaker on the importance of healthy eating, and is an advocate for women and entrepreneurs in business.

Joe Pierzchajlo serves as Green Plate Foods Executive Chef and has been with the company since early 2011. He intimately knows the company’s products and pension for quality and clean ingredients. Prior to working for the company, Joe was the Program Director for Camp Champions, a summer camp outside of Austin. He attended the Art Institute of Houston, where he recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management. Joe is proficient in kitchen management, food costing and operations. Joe’s favorite Green Plate Foods product are the gluten-free chicken nuggets with pureed garbanzo beans.

Mr. Pappa is the founder or co-founder of seven companies since 1992 in the technology and medical space. He is currently the co-founder and CEO of Qukku, Inc., a technology startup providing infrastructure that’s “Making Ideas Better Faster”. Before joining Qukku, Mr. Pappa was the Executive Vice President in charge of the Client Services Business Unit at CHR Solutions. He was responsible for leading a team of 200 professionals and $28Million in annual revenues. Mr. Pappa was the 3rd employee to join CHR Solutions and helped it grow to over 550 employees and $70 Million in annual revenues. In 2012, Mr. Pappa started working with Lisa Pounds to help restructure Green Plate Kitchen and develop a new strategy. Mr. Pappa became a cofounder in the re-launched Green Plate Foods in 2013. Mr. Pappa has more than 27 years’ experience in information systems architecture and software development for mid-market clients. During the past several years, he helped clients evaluate and select the proper technology portfolio for their companies, developed custom programs for forecasting, control systems, inventory and workforce management, oversaw the code conversion of an outdated call center program to an industry-standard platform, and implemented customer relationship management (CRM) programs, among others.
Catherine Kruppa, MS, RD, CSSD, LD earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and Master of Science in Nutrition from Texas A&M University. She is a registered, licensed dietitian, and wellness coach. She is also Board Certified in Sports Nutrition and nutrition consultant for Green Plate Foods. She specializes in weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, endometriosis, heart disease, pediatric nutrition and corporate nutrition. She served as the Director of Nutrition for US Diving for 11 years. Catherine was a member of the Texas A&M Varsity Diving Team and is currently an active member of the running community in Houston. She has competed in 6 triathlons, including a ½ Ironman, 15 marathons and 3 ultramarathons. Catherine provides nutrition tips for Houston's KSBJ FM 89.3 and nationally syndicated KLOVE radio. Catherine is a frequent speaker for many organizations and businesses. She speaks on various topics in the area of nutrition such as: healthy eating, weight management, disease prevention, nutrition and exercise, and osteoporosis. She has also presented programs for Channel 13News Health Beat, Channel 2 News, Channel 8 Midday Show and Fox News. She also appears regularly on the LiveWell Network, a home, health and lifestyle channel owned by ABC. Catherine worked as the local dietitian for the Dr. Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Program and the dietitian for the 2004, 2008 and 2012 US Olympic Diving Teams as well as for Former President George H. W. Bush, Olympic Gold Medalists Laura Wilkinson and David Boudia.

Susanne Mayad is Green Plate Foods Office Manager and has as been with the company since September 2011. She is instrumental in managing the day-to-day accounting, management of current clients, ordering and coordinating with the Executive Chef and kitchen and assisting Lisa with sales and marketing, events, etc. Susanne is an outgoing, self-motivated mother of two girls.
